Unsure asked: Over the years, I have collected a large amount of CD/DVD cases and want to get rid of them in a way that is friendly to the environment. Can I just recycle them through my county’s waste management recycling program or do I have to sent them to a specific location/company?

macaroni247445 asked: I need to know some things for my online classes….. can anyone help me? I would be eternally grateful.
* environmental regulations companies must follow
* the cost to business associated with following environmental regulations
* trends in handling environmental problems.
* new environmental problems anticipated in the future
* identify current jobs that are related to the environment (such as waste management and recycling)
* identify new jobs that may develop as a result of the need to solve environmental problems
* identify the major environmental issues that business and industry must address during the next decade
You don’t have to answer all of it, and if you got the answers off of websites, please tell me which ones???
Thank you and have a great day!
Minnie

tribekat asked: I recycle because I want to do anything I can to reduce waste that winds up in a landfill. I have been under the impression all these years that recycling is beneficial for the environment. But I recently learned that, at least in California, we ship our compacted recyclables to China to be made into new products which are then shipped back to the USA. I’m curious about the “life cycle” of a recycled product and the recycling industry’s impact on the environment. Also, are China’s recycling methods and chemicals ok under USA or EU regulations? Economists encouraged to weigh in. Thanks.
